PurposeManages the accounting and reporting team, which includes
statutory financial reporting, general accounting, and management
of insurance programs. Acts as a strong "right-hand" to the Vice
President & Controller, develops partnerships throughout the
organization and provides critical decision-making support.
Implements and maintains a system of internal controls to ensure
company assets are safeguarded and all financial reporting is
prepared in compliance with accounting policies and US GAAP.
Provides leadership in cost control to ensure optimization of
spending across the organization and supports the financial
planning function. -Functional Responsibility
- Oversees, directs, and manages departmental activities and team
performance
- Drives and models company culture and holds self, peers, and
direct reports accountable for demonstrating a constructive company
culture through influential, personal behavior and actions
- Develops and implements clearly defined operational and
individual goals to develop employees, achieve productivity levels,
and to attain the company's strategic plan
- Researches best practices, stays abreast of industry trends,
and maintains awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance
and continually improve operations
- Executes departmental financial objectives by preparing
budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and
initiating corrective action
- Achieves departmental results to ensure the effective delivery
of the strategic plan
- Develops staffing needs; attracts, motivates, and retains a
workforce with the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities to
achieve goals and objectives
- Promotes and ensures a safe and healthy work environment for
all employees
- Leads the way and prepares departmental staff for success in a
continually changing environment
- Fosters a work environment that encourages creative thinking,
promotes flexibility, and drives innovation
- Addresses employee issues, concerns, and complaints in an
objective and confidential manner; notifies HR Business Partner and
keeps immediate manager informed as appropriate
- Ensures compliance and consistent application of company
policies, initiatives, and decisions
- Coaches, guides, and develops direct reports; fully engages in
the GPS (Performance Management) process; provides high-quality
feedback, and ensures proper GPS documentation of employee
performance, recognition, and deficiencies
- Leads the accounting and reporting team responsible for general
accounting functions, which includes financial reporting, balance
sheet management, fixed asset accounting, payroll, and
reconciliations
- Ensures that credit risk is balanced with business objectives,
targets are met and that only valid claims with proper management
authorization are paid
- Supports annual strategic plan and budget process for G&A
expenses
- Ensures policies and procedures (internal controls) are in
place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are
protected
- Establishes accounting processes, performance reporting, and
decision-making support aligned with key strategies of
Delicato
- Supports and drives process improvement initiatives: process
definition, accounting and reporting metrics
- Leads annual audit process with the Company's independent
auditors, including the preparation of the annual GAAP consolidated
financial statements
- Produces summary reports related to spending and analyzes
alternatives to control/reduce costs wherever possible
- Provides technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all
company entities; this may include involvement in due diligence and
other activities surrounding acquisitions/dispositions
- Ensures that company financial records are maintained in
compliance with company policies and US GAAP; responsible for
reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other
documents to ensure compliance
- Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits
in the periodic review of the company financial records and is
responsible for the implementation of agreed upon
recommendations
- Conducts, as required, financial studies and surveys to
collect, summarize, and analyze financial actions
- Ensures departmental activities are consistent with meeting the
company's stated commitments
- Leads the management of insurance programs and annual renewal
process
- Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compile
a variety of special reports as needed*Other duties may be

- Bachelors degree in accounting; MBA or CMA would be a plus
- 10 years+ of corporate accounting experience required; within a
consumer products business preferred
- 5 years management experience; proven leadership experience,
with demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing
teams and have the ability to work collaboratively across
departmental functions
- Experience in analyzing business performance and developing
financial plans within a manufacturing environment desirable
- Use of SAP (or another similar integrated ERP system)

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) requiredKnowledge, Skills,
and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial
reporting
- Knowledge of modern accounting, cost accounting, and financial
concepts
- Strong excel spreadsheet and database skills

Disclaimer: This is a -Exempt -position. -The pay range for this
position is $122,850.00 -to $192,150.00. -Actual placement within
range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but
not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education,
experience, internal equity and -alignment -with market
