A school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) is sought to provide specialized therapeutic services to students in an educational setting located in Madera, CA. This contract position focuses on facilitating students access to the curriculum through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators and families. Responsibilities include: Conducting thorough evaluations of students to identify occupational therapy needs related to school performance. Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans that support students academic and functional skills. Collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure effective integration of therapy goals within the school environment. Providing consultative support and training to school staff on strategies to enhance student participation and success. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Occupational Therapist license with experience in pediatric or school-based therapy. Knowledge of school-based therapy practices, including IDEA regulations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with a diverse student population and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to individualize interventions to meet the unique needs of students within the classroom setting. Location: Position is based in Madera, California, serving students within a school environment.
