An exciting opportunity for a Hospice Services Nurse Educator just became available in the Central Valley, California.The Hospice Services Nurse Educator will join one of the first hospices in the nation to earn accreditation by the Joint Commission for its demonstration of organizational and clinical excellence. The Hospice facility received many awards and recognitions over the years, including the Daily Point of Light Award selected by the President of the United States for the Thousand Points of Light Campaign. Reporting to the Director of Quality and Compliance, the Hospice Nurse Educator will be responsible for development, coordination, delivery and/or evaluation of patient care and educational activities for hospice staff including LVNs, RNs and technicians as well as other support staff. This person will develop and support educational initiatives, serve as a mentor to new leaders, and be a champion for quality improvement throughout the department. The Nurse Educator will enjoy nice CA weather with 184 sunny days per year with an average annual temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit and easy access to San Francisco or Lake Tahoe.
