Do you aspire to push the boundaries of computation to catalyze scientific breakthroughs?
Imagine predicting microbial behavior with the same precision used to design circuits. At the Buck Institute, we're building a cutting-edge platform to simulate dynamic bacterial function by combining multi-dimensional microbial data, mechanistic knowledge, and AI. This project will revolutionize biomanufacturing and antimicrobial discovery, transforming them into predictive, designable processes. The implications range from optimizing industrial production to deepening our understanding of biological systems that shape human aging.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join the Yurkovich Lab. The successful candidate will contribute to a project focused on developing and applying a computational simulation platform to predict dynamic bacterial behavior, integrating multi-dimensional microbial state data with mechanistic biological knowledge and AI. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to efforts at the forefront of transforming our understanding of aging by accurately predicting phenotypic function.

If you're ready to drive scientific discovery at the intersection of cutting-edge computation and transformative experimentation to redefine our understanding of aging, we encourage you to apply.

Our success will ultimately change healthcare. At the Buck, we aim to end the threat of age-related diseases for this and future generations by bringing together the most capable and passionate scientists from a broad range of disciplines to identify and impede the ways in which we age. Globally recognized as the pioneer and leader in efforts to target aging-the number one risk factor for diseases including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, cancer, macular degeneration, heart disease, and diabetes-the Buck seeks to help people live better longer. We are an equal opportunity employer.
