Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform clinical tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Measure and record vital signs accurately for patients during their visits. Assist with patient intake procedures, including obtaining medical histories and preparing patients for examinations. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients. Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Perform outpatient procedures under the supervision of healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control standards. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care in internal medicine and medical-surgical settings. Skills Minimum 3-5 years of Medical Assisting experience required Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. Proficient in medical administrative support functions, including electronic health records management. Strong understanding of vital signs measurement techniques and interpretation. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to various specialties, particularly internal medicine. Knowledge of human physiology to assist in patient assessments effectively. Experience in outpatient care settings is preferred but not required. Ability to perform basic coding for insurance purposes is advantageous. Competence in medication administration practices within a clinical environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail while multitasking effectively in a busy setting. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members alike.
