Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Oakland, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,473 per week Shift Information: 3 days Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Oakland, California, 94609! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: State RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic Charting System experience Description: The candidate will possess a valid state RN license. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. The position may require floating to other units within the scope of practice. Flexibility is important, as staff may float between different campuses or within the hospital. Notice of floating assignments will typically be given 1.5 hours prior to the start of the shift. A shuttle service will be provided for floating requests. The nurse will be expected to manage diverse patient care scenarios. Patient demographics include individuals with heart failure, arrhythmias, and acute respiratory failure. Daily census is expected to be approximately 26 patients. The nurse will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams. Key responsibilities will include telemetry monitoring and managing various cardiac conditions. Strong skills in managing IVs, cardiac drips, and hemodialysis are necessary. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Wound care and tracheostomy management experience are also preferred. The ideal candidate will be a team player and possess excellent communication skills.
