A healthcare opportunity is available for a registered nurse specializing in operating room care, focusing on orthopedic, vascular, and robotic surgeries. This contract position is based in Hayward, CA, offering a structured 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule with weekend work required. Ideal candidates will bring at least two years of specialized experience and demonstrate the skills necessary to support surgical teams effectively. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current CA Registered Nurse (RN) licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Minimum two years of experience in orthopedic, vascular, or robotic surgical settings Preferred: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) credential Required: Demonstrated scrub experience in the operating room environment Responsibilities: Assess, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care in an acute care setting Provide direct patient care while incorporating patient and family education Develop and implement individualized plans of care addressing diverse psychological, spiritual, and socio-economic factors Facilitate seamless transitions of care through effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members Maintain collaborative relationships to ensure holistic patient-centered care Schedule/Hours: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (06:45 AM 03:45 PM) Weekend shifts are a requirement Various start times may apply About Hayward, CA:Hayward offers a welcoming community located in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area.
