POSITION SUMMARY:. The Customer Fulfillment & Operations HR Business Partner (HRBP) will partner closely with the 5.11 Customer Fulfillment/Operations employees as a cultural ambassador and business partner to support 5.11’s Mission, Vision, and Ethos translating business strategy into talent, culture, and leadership actions. The HRBP is responsible for the full spectrum of HR practices for the Customer Fulfillment & Operations business unit including talent strategy, performance management, talent acquisition, training, organizational development, succession planning, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. The HRBP will also be involved in supporting the development and leading implementation of core HR programs within their business unit. This role will partner with leaders to create work environments which are business results centric, engage and develop employees, shape culture and foster diversity and inclusion.. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:. Build the capabilities of front-line leaders to address employee relations, recruiting, and training needs to ensure effective operations.. Serve as a strategic business partner to support employee engagement by helping to identify and diagnose potential issues and proactively initiate solutions and recommendations for improvement.. Ensure HR provides organizational support for business unit employees’ development to continuously elevate the quality and performance of employees.. Plan and execute management development initiatives for high potential employees.. Provide ongoing performance coaching and feedback to front-line leaders and managers regarding issues related to management style, communication, employee and peer interactions, career and leadership development, corrective action, and conflict resolution.. Implement HR processes and systems in coordination with the business unit to achieve effective recruitment and retention of employees and minimize employee relations issues.. Work with the HR and Customer Fulfillment & Operations teams to enhance the work environment and culture; collaboratively review and revise processes and systems related to Retail Operations to avoid/resolve employee relations issues and mitigate company risk.. Responsible for supporting Customer Fulfillment & Operations in recruitment efforts, with specific focus on leadership positions to ensure the company’s capability keeps pace with its growth and meets business objectives.. Establish partnerships with relevant third parties by developing and implementing recruiting initiatives such as job fairs to create future hiring opportunities.. Partner with management to ensure the use of established tools, processes, and systems to create a pipeline of high-quality candidates.. Participate in operating discussions and manage the budget in support of key HR business needs. Strategize, support and drive the implementation and management of HR programs, review and maintain policies, procedures, programs and laws, and keep management informed of new developments.. Be an on-site, subject matter expert resource for employees and managers with questions and guidance on HR topics and matters;. Ensure all employee relations issues are properly identified, documented, reported and resolved, maintaining the utmost levels of confidentiality;. Provide guidance and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant workplace consistent with 5.11 and legal standards;. Update and provide reports for workforce, compliance, training and organizational charts;. Ensure compliance with governmental and labor legal, and reporting requirements, tracking of OSHA required data and ensure compliance in the company’s affirmative action plan.. Qualifications:. Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in business or human resources. PHR/SPHR, or equivalent preferred. Minimum 5 years in HR Generalist role, including experience supporting multi-unit retail/restaurant operations. Extensive knowledge of HR including HR concepts, principles and best practices in the industry.. Possess both strategic thinking capability and “hands on” HR strategic planning implementation and experience.. Capable of earning trust through a clear and assertive point of view about how to build business performance.. Able to navigate tensions of daily business activities while remaining collected and thoughtful. Demonstrate a proven track record in people management with the ability to build a team and help others grow and develop.. Knowledge of employment law including federal and multiple states laws and/or regulatory agencies.. Hands on experience addressing an organizations capability and needs in a field environment. Able to effectively communicate the Ethos of the organization and exemplify the highest level of integrity.. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.. Must be able to travel domestically including to corporate locations at a minimum of 40%.. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;. 5+ years’ professional experience in an HR role – preferably in a fast-paced retail or apparel company;. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS system, as well as project management required;. Solid knowledge and experience in HR concepts and principles gained through education and experience to include employment law, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and recruiting;. Exceptional organizational skills,. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – must have a high level of customer service, professionalism and courtesy;. Able to manage multiple projects including those outside of job requirements and respond timely in a fast-paced, changing environment.. ETHOS:.
