Weekend Outbound Lead (Saturday - Wednesday)

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision from the Outbound Manger & Director of Distribution, the Team Leader for this group is responsible for overseeing the shipping process and helping team members where needed. And provide direct building leadership over weekends (Sat /Sun). The standard shift is Saturday - Wednesday.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor conveyor line to ensure that product is flowing smoothly with no overload or backlog.
  • Monitor replenishment process.
  • Heavy focus on Ecommerce business - heightened on weekend shifts.
  • Processing waves for Ecommerce shipments.
  • Managing workflow though the Put to Wall (PTW) process.
  • Tracing discrepancies to see where errors have occurred.
  • Segregating Will - Call and truck shipments from standard carrier shipments.
  • Palletizing these shipments for delivery.
  • Responsible for tracking air and overnight shipments through the system to ensure they are shipped by the appropriate cut-off times.
  • Notifying supervisor of process errors or team member deficiencies.
  • Use pallet jack to move orders to appropriate shipping location.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent along with 3-5 years working in a high volume distribution facility.
    • Knowledge of RF units and WMS systems is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication skills are required. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
    • Basic computer skills required to pull production reports and inventory records.
    • Experience in MS tools such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
    • Meets productivity standard, strives to increase productivity.
    • Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly; Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
