Maintenance and Inventory SpecialistThe Maintenance and Inventory Specialist at Chick-fil-A Hwy 99 & Yosemite Ave is responsible for overseeing the regular maintenance of facilities and ensuring the restaurant is clean, organized, and functioning at the highest levels at all times. This individual must have an ability to self-lead, work independently, problem solve, utilize a variety of resources, create systems to improve the functions of this position, possess strong critical thinking skills, and a humble and unwavering work ethic. This Specialist will work closely with the Kitchen Director and leadership team to review and execute tasks and projects as we pursue our collective Vision to be Manteca's Most Caring Company.Job DutiesThe duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance and Inventory Specialist include, but are not limited to the following:MaintenanceMaintain all machines and equipment in compliance with Chick-fil-A maintenance calendar and equipment manualsIf unable to perform maintenance on specific equipment at the store level, notify the Owner/Operator of need to outsource to specified contractorsBe the point-of-contact for all maintenance repairs, including sourcing quotes, establishing budget, and following up with contractors as neededSteward all restaurant resources and equipment and determine when repair or replacement is necessaryEnsure that the Maintenance Schedule is being followed and modify schedule as neededOversee all Maintenance Days by communicating dates to team, scheduling team members and leadership appropriately, and leading task lists for the dayKeep personal workspace clean and organizedAbility to address an emergency situation and work through it calmlyAbility to create Task Lists to delegate out to the team and follow up regularlyLead cleanliness strategies for the entire restaurant to ensure Overall Cleanliness score of 80%+ on customer feedback reportsComplete regular walk-throughs of restaurant property and address all necessary repairsMaintain order and cleanliness for interior and exterior of restaurantAttend strategic meetings with restaurant leadership as neededTrain and lead other team members on cleaning and maintenance tasks based on restaurant needsInventoryUnderstand and complete the process of ordering and organizing products for the storeReceive truck orders and check invoices to ensure accurate shipments and review product qualityEffectively communicate product substitutes when supply chain issues result in shortagesEnsure that all products (such as food, paper products, and chemicals) are stored appropriately to maintain a food safety environment at the beginning and end of each shiftKeep inventory items in designated spaces labeled with product name, item number, and safety stock countOversee organization of entire restaurant and prevent excessive stock storageOrganize and keep inventory of both on-site and off-site storageComplete or oversee regular weekly and monthly inventory countsFollowing inventory counts, run an Inventory Activity Report and share results with the team when gaps are identifiedEnsure that the Travel Path for all products in the restaurant is updated at all times for daily, weekly, and monthly inventory countsDesired CharacteristicsAbility to work and problem-solve independentlyAbility to work well both individually and on a teamAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyCommunicate clearly in writing, speaking, messaging, and over the phoneAbility to timely create and goals and execute on themMechanically and technically orientedAbility to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment while staying focused and professionalLaser-focused attention to detail and organizationMinimum Job RequirementsMust be 18 or older in order to safely operate and repair all equipment in the storeAbility to work a flexible scheduleAbility to work a minimum of 30 hours per weekAbility to lift a minimum of 50lbs from various positionsKnowledge of Google Docs, Microsoft Office, or other like softwaresAbility to navigate the internet to find information whether on a computer, phone, or tabletMust be mobile on shift (6+ hours per day)Must have open availability on Friday and Saturday and quarterly on Sunday (as needed for Maintenance Day)Must have reliable transportationMust be authorized to work in the United StatesREQUIREMENTSIn our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day. Whole lemons are freshly squeezed in our restaurants and combined with pure cane sugar and water (yep, that's all) to make Chick-fil-A Lemonade -. It may not be the easy way, but it's the only way we know.
