Position Overview:Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services/RN Shift Manager, the Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) is responsible for assisting the primary surgeon in the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative period. Care is provided to pediatric through geriatric patient populations; acts in the absence of a qualified physician. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Position Qualifications:Active California RN licenseBLSACLSPALSCNOR Certification preferred Certified RNFA preferredGraduate of a RNFA program accredited by the Certified Board of Peri-operative NursingGraduate of an accredited School of NursingAcademic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree) Preferred
Skills/Kowledge/Abilities:Excellent communication skillsExcellent teamwork and collaborationAnalytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing Must be fluent in spoken and written EnglishMust be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
