Receives general direction to perform a variety of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting duties related to cabling, technology hardware, and security systems within the Local Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) and/or entry to mid-level computing platforms. Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements / QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS-EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING: Equivalent to graduation from high school. Experience and/or education related to Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Installer 2 for Copper (INSTC) and CompTIA Network+ certifications. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS-EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING: Mid-level knowledge of communications/networking systems or systems engineering, including methods and procedures relative to analysis, design, engineering, installation, configuration, deployment, operations and management as it applies to departmental systems or assistance in supporting enterprise-wide systems. Experience and/or education related to Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Installer 2 Optical Fiber (INSTF). MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience with day to day operations of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting technology hardware, security systems, network and physical infrastructure equipment, fiber and copper cabling, and components.
